David L. Benisch, M.D.

Dr. David L. Benisch received his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and his doctorate degree from the State University of NY Down State Medical Center. From there, he would complete his residency in general surgery at Brown University and at Stony Brook University Hospital. That same year, Dr. Benisch established himself as a private practitioner in general and vascular surgery, where he has over 30 years of experience. In addition to being a physician owner at the Melville Surgery Center, Dr. Benisch currently serves as an attending physician at NSLIJ-Syosset, NSLIJ-Plainview and Huntington Hospital. He has vast experience in laparoscopic surgery and is highly skilled in the newest techniques for laparoscopic hernia repairs. Dr. Benisch is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
